Climbing Great White with Sonnie Trotter

The Skaha Bluffs, my home crag, located in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia in a little city called Penticton (a city between two lakes) Some of the best sport climbing in Canada, no doubt. It attracts visitors from all over the world, and the numbers keep growing. With over 1000 climbs with in 5-60 mins of the parking lot, you can see why.

I spent this late winter day with my friends, Sonnie Trotter and Cody Leydon, filming a little social media spot, for Warner Brothers Canada, to promote the new Tomb Raider Movie. Sonnie had enlisted me to create some content for him as part of am Influencer marketing gig he had(Sonnie has a big Instagram following). We lament about the fine line of “selling out” and making a living to feed our sons and daughters.

We descied to photograph “Air Test”, a classic 5.13 on the Great White wall, one of the most impressive cliffs in the park... a good long overhanging face with harder climbing, a place where crushers go to crush! Tempts were not to bad, considering there was some snow on the ground; which made for an interesting backdrop in the photos and video.
