Dave Mai
Dave Mai is a producer, audio engineer, musician and multimedia creator based in Penticton, British Columbia. He founded DM Productions in 2007, and his work has grown into a wide-ranging practice that includes music production, sound design, documentary filmmaking, photography, and live event technical direction.
With decades of experience in both the studio and on the stage, Dave brings a musician’s ear and a technician’s precision to every project. His approach blends analog warmth, modern digital workflow, and a deep understanding of how sound supports emotion, performance, and story.
Whether he is producing a song, mixing a live performance, designing a venue system, or capturing a story on film, Dave’s focus is the same: create work that feels human, sounds exceptional, and lasts. He is known for building long-term creative relationships and for bringing calm, care, and technical depth to every stage of production.
